Loved this piece! So many great thoughts. I think there's enough room for conversations that deconstruct gender and those about womanhood-- we just have to remember that our shared enemy is the patriarchy. Currently reading a book about how women have historically been represented in art and the larger cultural narratives aroung the "right" and "wrong" ways to be a woman (spoiler alert: pretty much every way has been deemed "wrong"). With this infinitely long history of limiting women's selfhood, every declaration of who we are feels essential!
